I’d like to talk about a news article I read in The Times of India a few days ago. It covered the courageous act of a young girl who fought off kidnappers. The incident occurred just three weeks back when an unknown stranger attempted to kidnap a small child on the street. The child, a five-year-old boy, was playing outside a shop with his friends as he usually did. The stranger approached the child, offering him a chocolate and then tried to take the child in his arms. The innocent child found the chocolate so tempting that he couldn’t realize the potential danger posed by the stranger.

However, a 15-year-old girl named Sukanya, who happened to be the child’s neighbor, noticed the unfamiliar man and sensed that something was not right. Without a moment’s hesitation, she sprang into action, swiftly snatching the child from the stranger’s grasp and raising a loud alarm that caught the attention of everyone on the street. In no time, people rushed to her aid, and together, they apprehended the suspicious man and handed him over to the police. The police interrogated him for hours and eventually put him behind bars.

The entire street and town praised Sukanya’s bravery and quick thinking. I found this story exceptionally captivating as it filled me with a deep sense of inspiration and motivation to contribute positively to society. Moreover, it serves as a reminder to stay vigilant and protect ourselves and others from potential dangers. I believe this real-life incident can serve as an important lesson for others and encourage them to take action if faced with similar situations.
