Cue Card:

What you loved to do as a child?

      Describe your experience.

      Why did you love it?

These answers are at a band 7.5 level.

Model Answer:

I firmly believe that our truest passions emerge during childhood. When I was a child, I was captivated by music. Playing the guitar, in particular, made me feel surrounded by the enchanting notes of music. Music is life itself; without it, the world would be silent and uninspiring. Music wraps you in a comforting embrace, providing inspiration during moments of stress and loneliness.

To begin with, I started playing the guitar at the age of twelve. Music always held a magnetic pull for me, and as I explored it further, I discovered a plethora of abilities and hidden talents within myself. By the time I turned fifteen, I began channeling my knowledge and creativity into writing songs. It was during this time that I realized music was as essential to me as breathing. Music instilled in me values of determination, perseverance, and understanding. I love music because I perceive life through its harmonious lens.

IELTS Speaking Sample Part 3:

Question 1: What did you learn from your experience?

Answer: I firmly believe that music teaches us the essence of life. Through my experiences, I have learned that music has the power to connect souls. In other words, when citizens of a country sing their national anthem together, their hearts and souls become intertwined. This phenomenon beautifully exemplifies the transformative power of music.

Question 2: Who was your role model when you were a child?

Answer: My mother has always been my role model. Her unwavering dedication, love, and affection towards our family have been a constant inspiration for me. Additionally, she is a talented singer and has been my greatest critic.

Question 3: Do you think childhood passions can be pursued as a career in life?

Answer: Absolutely, I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. In fact, I strongly believe that if your determination is unwavering and you choose to turn your passion into a career, nothing can hinder your path to success. Numerous musicians in the world have proven this, and my personal favorite is A.R. Rahman.
