**Question:**

Some individuals believe that children should receive formal training at school on how to become good parents in the future. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

**Sample Answer:**

The notion that school students should undergo formal training to prepare for future parenthood is held by many. They advocate this idea for various reasons, but I, on the other hand, disagree with this stance as I believe that children are too immature to be trained for parenting.

To begin with, opinions differ concerning the idea of teaching parenting skills to school-going children. This perspective arises from the belief that parents who lack proper training and education on parenting may struggle with nurturing their children effectively. For instance, some parents allow their kids to consume fast food like burgers and pizzas instead of freshly cooked meals, leading to an alarming rise in childhood obesity. Proponents of formal training argue that by addressing such issues during childhood, children can be better prepared to care for their own offspring in the future.

On the contrary, it can be argued that children themselves are too young to grasp the intricacies of good parenting fully. At their current age, they require parenting and guidance, making it unrealistic to expect them to learn how to raise children themselves. Instead, teaching parenting skills should be introduced when individuals reach adulthood and are on the brink of becoming parents. Short training programs designed for adults could be more effective in helping them understand the responsibilities and challenges of parenthood. This way, adults can be better equipped to handle the concerns that come with parenting.

In conclusion, I find it inappropriate to burden children with learning parenting skills. The suitable time to educate individuals about the responsibilities of parenting is during adulthood, when they can better comprehend and prepare for the challenges and joys that come with being good parents.
