IELTS Speaking Recent Cue Card Question:

Describe something you have always wanted to buy.

What it is

How long you have wanted it

Why you like it

Do you think you will buy it someday?

Sample Answer:

I would like to discuss something that I have always wanted to buy, and that is a motorbike. Ever since I was a teenager, I have had a strong desire to own a sleek and powerful motorcycle that I can ride on open roads. It has been a dream of mine for over 10 years now, and I believe that one day, I will be able to fulfill this dream.

There are several reasons why I am drawn to motorbikes. Firstly, I am fascinated by their design and engineering. The sleek curves, the roaring sound of the engine, and the adrenaline rush of speeding through the wind are all aspects that greatly appeal to me. I have always been passionate about motorcycles and often spend time reading magazines and watching videos about the latest models and their features.

Additionally, owning a motorbike would provide me with a sense of freedom and independence. I would no longer have to rely on public transportation or wait in long queues for buses. With a motorbike, I can navigate through traffic easily and enjoy the thrill of exploring new places at my own pace.

While I may not be financially capable of purchasing a motorbike at the moment, I am confident that I will be able to buy one in the near future. I am currently working hard to save money and improve my financial situation. Once I have achieved my goals and have the necessary funds, I will be able to fulfill my dream of owning a motorbike.

To conclude, a motorbike is something that I have always desired to buy. The combination of its design, the sense of freedom it offers, and the thrill it provides make it an irresistible dream for me. I believe that with determination and hard work, I will be able to turn this dream into a reality.
