Answer for IELTS Speaking Task 2:
Laughter, as they say, is the best medicine, and I can’t agree more. One particular incident comes to mind when I had an uncontrollable fit of laughter. It was during my cousin’s wedding, which took place last year. Indian weddings are known for their fun and pranks, and this event turned out to be one hilarious memory.
Throughout the wedding festivities, the groom’s friends were extremely cautious and smart. They didn’t want to fall victim to any pranks from the bride’s side, so they stuck to the groom like his shadows, never leaving his side for a moment. They even guarded his belongings diligently.
On the other hand, the bride’s friends and relatives were determined to play some pranks on their rivals. However, the rituals were carried out with utmost solemnity, and they couldn’t find a suitable opportunity.
It was during the final ritual when everything changed. The groom was supposed to sit alone on a specially decorated seat. As soon as he took his seat, there was a loud cracking noise, and everyone burst into laughter. The poor groom looked bewildered, unable to comprehend what just happened. Little did he know that the seat was rigged with broken eggshells cleverly hidden underneath. It was a brilliantly executed prank that took everyone by surprise. The moment was both hilarious and heartwarming as we all shared a good laugh together.
